Dr. Kian Karimi, Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Karimi’s philanthropic efforts began while he was in medical school, working with Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) in a border town between Iran and Afghanistan. As a fourth-year medical student, he joined a medical mission endeavor in Honduras, serving the underprivileged natives.

Later in his final year of residency, Dr. Karimi orchestrated the pro-bono care of a young girl from Haiti with a large disfiguring facial tumor. After completing her surgery, Dr. Karimi organized a multi-disciplinary effort to provide the young girl with the best possible functional and cosmetic outcome. She is currently cancer-free and enjoys a significantly improved quality of life. He considers this one of his greatest achievements.

Dr. Karimi does pro-bono charity care for patients from the Venice Family Clinic, the largest free clinic in the United States, for both otolaryngological problems and facial plastic reconstructive issues.

Dr. Karimi has served as one of the team plastic surgeons for the Los Angeles Kings Hockey organization since 2011.
